Which Session is Right for Me?

THREE WEEK:
Our three week session is twenty days in length and is just the right amount of time for campers who are excited about camp. The June session is ideal for both returning and beginner campers. In addition to daily activities girls have plenty of time to sign up for out of camp canoeing, climbing and hiking trips. This session is an excellent next step for girls that have attended shorter sessions and would like more time at camp to try new activities.

FOUR WEEK:
The four week session provides campers the opportunity to get anything and everything they want out of camp.  They will have more time to improve their skills in activities, longer trips and field days with other local camps. We celebrate the 4th of July and Keystone’s birthday during this session.  This session also gives campers the chance to be positive role models for the Mini I and Mini II campers.

MINI:
The Mini Sessions are an introductory two week camp experience. These sessions run concurrently with the four week session. Campers will participate in activities with both the Mini campers and the four week campers, but mini campers are only housed with other mini campers. Both sessions will have team games and a closing campfire. Mini I will celebrate the end of the session with a Ms. Manners Banquet. The Mini II session will have a closing banquet hosted by the Aides.

TWO WEEK:
Our two week session in August is for campers in grades 2nd through 9th.  Campers can participate in the same number of activity periods as the longer sessions. Day trips and theme days add excitement and enthusiasm to our camp community. Campers get a full camp experience on a slightly smaller (shorter) scale.

KEY CAMP:
Key Camp is our six day beginner session. This session is for grades 1st – 4th. This is a fantastic session for girls that have not yet been to sleep-a-way camp.  This session is smaller in camper numbers and can be a positive experience for beginning campers to see what camp is all about. They will participate in 4-6 of our key activity areas during the morning hours.  These activities are Arts & Crafts, Horseback Riding, Swimming and Rock Climbing. In the afternoon, the girls will choose what activities they would like to participate in.  Can be viewed as a “sampler” where girls see what camp is like and can decide to return for a longer period of time next year.

Regardless what session each camper tries first, we find that girls eventually choose a session that becomes “home” to them. They enjoy the specific offerings of their particular session offers and come to return year after year, often meeting up with their friends from previous years.
