Positions
Our staff members serve as both Cabin Counselors and Activity Instructors. Two counselors live together in a cabin with eight campers who are in the same grade in school. Cabin Counselors are responsible for getting their campers ready for the day, and are there to greet them in the evening after the day's activities are over.

Camping / Hiking |
|
We have two positions available for Camp/Hiking instructors, which is part of our Adventure Program. In Camp/Hiking, campers will learn first aid, emergency procedures, Leave No Trace ethics, various knots, fire-building, campfire cooking techniques, and tent pitching, to name a few! Classes are generally small and offered 2 to 3 activity periods a day. Campers in this activity are usually interested in exploring Pisgah National Forest, which is a short trip from camp.

Applicants must be at least 19 years of age or have finished one year of college. You must have an interest, knowledge and skills in hiking and camping and the ability to teach and enthuse others. Along with planning fun, interesting daily lessons, you will also work in conjunction with the Adventure Staff Director to plan off-camp trips. Trips can be day hikes, half-day adventures to water falls, overnights to sleep under the stars, and even 3 day treks across ridgelines. There are lots of possibilities for fun and adventure with the beautiful Pisgah National Forest at our backdoor!
