Positions
Our staff members serve as both Cabin Counselors and Activity Instructors. Two counselors live together in a cabin with eight campers who are in the same grade in school. Cabin Counselors are responsible for getting their campers ready for the day, and are there to greet them in the evening after the day's activities are over.

Canoeing |
|
We have two or three positions available for canoe instructors, which is part of our Adventure Program. Canoeing is offered for 5 out of our 7 activity periods. The canoe lake is located on the top of our property in a nice, secluded section. Campers love paddling around the lake, learning new skills, and having a great time on the water. Many campers also look forward to off-camp trips that are taken down two local rivers.

Applicants must be at least 19 years of age or have finished one year of college. You must have an interest, knowledge and skills in lake and river canoeing. You will need to possess current certification for Advanced Life Savings or a Water Safety Instructor from the American Red Cross. You will plan, in conjunction with the Adventure Staff Director, a series of river trips for each session, according to the abilities of the campers. Trips can include half or full day water adventures or even an over night canoeing trip down a river or Lake Jocassee.
