Positions
Our staff members serve as both Cabin Counselors and Activity Instructors. Two counselors live together in a cabin with eight campers who are in the same grade in school. Cabin Counselors are responsible for getting their campers ready for the day, and are there to greet them in the evening after the day's activities are over.

Horseback Riding (English) |
|
There are 3 or 4 positions for Horseback Riding Instructors at Keystone. Our campers' riding experience ranges from no experience to advanced. We teach English riding in several different riding rings, and also utilize over 6 miles of trails on the camp property. We have a cross-country course as well for our upper level riders. Horsemanship classes are taught in addition to riding classes. These classes focus on stable management, grooming, first aide, etc.

Applicants must be at least 19 years of age or have finished one year of college. Must have at least 5 years of formal Hunt Seat instruction within 3 years of applying. We prefer that you will have had some Hunt Seat show ring experience. In this position, you will be working directly under the Barn Director, Gay Schudlt, who has been working at Keystone Camp for the past 16 summers. Horseback Riding instructors may or may not serve as cabin counselors since extra duties are required of these instructors in the mornings and late afternoons. You must be disciplined, friendly, out-going, and love both horses and children!
